EVERYTHING HAS A LIMIT

Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening

Whose woods these are I think I know,
His house is in the village though.
He will not see me stopping here,
To watch his woods fill up with snow.
My little horse must think it queer,
To stop without a farmhouse near,
Between the woods and frozen lake,
The darkest evening of the year.
He gives his harness bells a shake,
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep,
Of easy wind and downy flake.
The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.
Robert Frost.

Everything has its limit - iron ore cannot be educated into gold.
A man is never more truthful than when he acknowledges himself a liar.
All you need in this life is ignorance and confidence, and then success is sure.
Anger is an acid that can do more harm to the vessel in which it is stored than to anything on which it is poured.Be careful about reading health books.
You may die of a misprint.
Cauliflower is nothing but cabbage with a college education.
Clothes make the man. Naked people have little or no influence on society.
Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear, not absence of fear.
Don't go around saying the world owes you a living. The world owes you nothing. It was here first.
Don't part with your illusions. When they are gone, you may still exist, but you have ceased to live.
Education consists mainly of what we have unlearned.
Familiarity breeds contempt - and children.
Get your facts first, then you can distort them as you please.
Go to Heaven for the climate, Hell for the company.
Good breeding consists in concealing how much we think of ourselves and how little we think of the other person.
I don't like to commit myself about heaven and hell - you see, I have friends in both places.
It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt.

The lack of money is the root of all evil.
The more things are forbidden,
the more popular they become.
There are basically two types of people.
People who accomplish things,
and people who claim to have accomplished things.
The first group is less crowded.

EVERYBODY NEEDS A BREAK

Everyone needs a break. Life has become so fast that we don,t have time even for ourselves. If we sit and give ourselves a few moments, we can realize that: These targets, deadlines, job commitments are actually driving us mad. Due to this constant physical and mental stress people are becoming more and more irritable, intolerant and potentially violent. In spite of the general rise in financial status there is increased feeling of insecurity. The number of people suffering from anxiety neurosis, depression and other serious mental illnesses has increased manifold. All of us need a break, if not real let it be virtual, to recharge our batteries. One should plan a holiday with his family and just freak out. This is a good stress buster. If we cannot go out we should at least have change on weekends. George Washington once said, “ I would rather be on my farm than be emperor of the world.” Similarly you too visit Maddy’s den.

Maddy’s den is a virtual place where more importance is given to ‘enjoying life as it comes.’ Every person has a child hidden in him. However this child is masked by most of us due to socio- economic and other personal reasons. Let us bring out this child in us. Lastly you would want to explore the other side of your personality. Come on, what are you waiting for? Join Maddy3m at http://www.madmaddremaddest.blogspot.com/

Your spouses, children and pets are welcome. email Maddy your program and Maddy will pick you in his rickshaw . Caution. Remove the mask of CSP (certified sane person). Mobiles, pagers, watch, digital diaries, laptops not allowed.

At Maddy’s den you could participate in various activities of your choice. In case you are a writer you could contribute to ‘Maddy’s Scraps or help Maddy compose some songs at Maddy’s songs. If you are good at CCP (cut, copy and paste), or BBS (beg, borrow and steal) you can join Maddy at Maddy’s Ads. You can join Maddy and others at the Poolside Parties on weekends. You will find Mogli with his drum and the smart frog Gigloo. You will enjoy the dishes cooked in Maddy’s Kitchen. If you have some problem for which you can’t find a solution Maddy and Jimmy are always there to help you out in their Maddy’s Mail . For health problems Maddy the faith healer is always there. He will heal you by his faith, “I pray, Jimmy prays and you pray and you are cured.” You could always learn new things at ‘Maddy teaches/Jimmy learns.’ So come on guy’s if you have anything to share that is funny, witty or better still mad, or have any query just mail it to maddy3m@gmail.com

ABOUT MADDY AND MADDY'S DEN

For fifty-two years Maddy wore the mask of a CSP (Certified Sane Person). He was serious, hard working, dedicated, calculative, believed in planning at the microscopic level, felt one could actually write ones destiny. But he was neither comfortable nor satisfied. He found himself to be restless, frustrated, depressed and irritable. He realized that the remote was not in his hands. There was a super power controlling. What he had so far achieved was not due to his own efforts but courtesy he.

On the eve of his fifty-second birthday, on 16th May 2008, he pressed the ‘ESC’ button.

Maddy removed the mask of CSP(Certified Sane Person) and is a happy, relaxed, calm and a very comfortable person.

Maddy’s Den.

Maddy lives in his den along with Chilly his wife, O-2 his child, Jimmy the baby donkey (really intelligent and affectionate baby donkey). There is a small pond outside Maddy’s den. Gigloo the frog lives here. Mogli the drummer comes every Saturday to spend the weekend at Maddy’s den.Ms Killhurry lives next to Maddy’s den.

Maddy’s father (Maddy loves him very much), unfortunately he is no more.

Maddy’s xxxxxxxx with the help of their xxxxxx abandoned Maddy some years back.

Maa Maddy’s aunt lives in a far-off land. DVD (door vali didi) is another person with whom Maddy is really close. He shares everything with her.Though Maddy is friendly with everyone, very few people are friendly with him.

Maddy has a friend Vapari Ji (VJ) who lives in a city nearby. He works or maybe he owns) in Feast Findia Company. This company exports firewood to far off lands. VJ is a very influential person. He has contact numbers of all big shots in his mobile phone. Income tax department is very grateful to him because he pays lots of taxes. Unlike Maddy he is not worried about the impending hike in petrol prices. Maddy is very fond of him.

Maddy is a faith healer. He heals by faith. He has faith that,"I pray, Jimmy prays, the patient prays and the pt. is cured" . Maddy has been going to a village to heal the RURAL UNDER PRIVILEGED. Unfortunately Maddy himself became UNDER PRIVILEGED while doing so.

Maddy is very fond of music, sleeping and eating sweets. Maddy cannot stick to one schedule. He makes new resolutions every six hours.Maddy doesn't need a watch, mobile phone, pager, digital diary, palmtop or a laptop. He uses Ms Killhurry's PC & internet connection to post his blogs. He generally over eats (greedy bum) and then complains, “I ate like a pig”. He just doesn’t believe in sharing and caring.Maddy is very scared of police, taxman, his wife Chilly and her friend Killhurry. Maddy is very friendly with God.Maddy loves to receive hugs, pats and emails. Please send your hugs toMaddy3m.

Me, an honest Self-Assessment

A self-reflective framework mapping behavioural patterns and friction points

PHASE 1: THE INITIATION TRAPS

·       FALSE STARTS

He is all sizzle and no steak:

He falls in love with the launch but leaves a graveyard of half- baked ideas.

·       The Dreamer in Analysis Paralysis

He spends his life building castles in the air

while spinning his wheels on the ground.

·       The Professional List-Maker

He mistakes the comfort of writing down a plan for the hard work of carrying, it out.  Furthermore, he makes numerous resolutions but lacks the sustained determination required to follow through and complete them.

PHASE 2: THE EXECUTION FRICTION

·       The Flash in the Pan (fades early)

He works by fits and starts:

He burns with brilliant initial energy

but fizzles out the moment the real work begins.

·

The Almost Achiever (last-minute deficit)

              He is always just

              one step away from greatness,

but he never actually takes that step.

The Self-Made Architect of Unfinished  Business

·       CONCEPT MUSEUM

  •               His life is a museum of brilliant concepts that never made it past the drawing board.

  •             The Dopamine Vault (The Hoarder of Potential)
He derives deep psychological satisfaction simply            from
owning the possibility of a project
        By collecting resources, books, and
materials for projects he hasn't started,
        he treats the preparation phase
as a substitute for actual achievement.

PHASE 3: CORE FRICTION DRIVERS

·

The Chronically Inert (lazy)

He is fundamentally lazy,

choosing comfort and

systemic avoidance over

actively pursuing momentum.

·

The Eleventh-Hour Responder (crisis driven)

He does not do anything until and unless

it is absolutely essential, thriving only under  severe pressure or imminent failure.

Behavioural Fallout under Crisis:
Because he thrives only under severe pressure, his emotional regulation deteriorates as the deadline nears. The closer to the deadline, the more unpredictable his mood becomes—transitioning instantly from a joking demeanour

to a high-tension state

where he snaps at whoever is closest.

·       The Short-Cut Seeker

Out of all available paths to a destination, he automatically chooses the easiest one, willingly lowering his standards to avoid complex labour or personal strain.

·       The Convenience Addict

He will only act

if a task is entirely frictionless,

using any minor setup step

or slight inconvenience as an iron-clad

excuse to delay the work indefinitely.

He pathologically chooses comfort over progress, completely abandoning his goals whenever a task demands the slightest bit of extra physical or mental effort.

  •  Attention Wanderer (easily distracted)

He is easily distracted, losing focus at the arrival of any shiny new concept or modern         disruption.

  • Interpersonal Friction.

The Deflecting Humorist (With a Hidden Edge): On the surface, he is never serious, always joking, using humor as a defense mechanism to keep the world at bay. He quickly labels anyone likely to cause trouble at a site as a PONV (Person of Nuisance Value).

However, his mood is highly unpredictable. While he masks the onset of tension with jokes, his coping threshold is razor-thin: when the pressure peaks, he is liable to metaphorically "shoot" the person standing right in front of him. His wit is a velvet glove hiding a very tense, unpredictable iron fist.

Inspite of all the above super deficiencies, I am grateful to the

Almighty with whose help, attention, pity and love,

I could survive comfortably. Thank you God.

Reflections from a Seventy-Year Journey: Simple Truths for a Meaningful Life.

Looking back on seven decades of a long, bumpy, and turbulent journey, it becomes profoundly clear that the true reward of life is the journey itself, not the destination. Shaper of character, this path was made beautiful through divine intervention, the warmth of family and friends, and the vital lessons taught by critics. To navigate this earthly passage with grace, peace, and purpose, one must anchor themselves in simple, timeless truths that govern the soul, the mind, and the body.

There is but one God for all humanity, completely blind to differences in colour, creed, religion, or language. We are all branches of the same tree, bound together in universal brotherhood. True faith requires us to be deeply spiritual and religious, yet we must vigilantly guard our hearts against the cold rigidity of fanaticism. In our actions, our sole focus must be to perform our earthly duties honestly and truthfully, completely surrendering the results and rewards into the hands of the Almighty. True fulfilment is found in this surrender, alongside a deep compassion for the world. We must sympathize and empathize with the needy and underprivileged, actively giving back to society a portion of the blessings we have received. If someone approaches you with a dilemma, try your utmost to solve it; if you cannot, guide them kindly to where they might find relief.

Emotional discipline is the cornerstone of inner peace. Anger is a temporary madness, and any action taken in its grip is destined to end in disaster. Therefore, one must pause and think with absolute calmness before reacting to any provocation. Watch your words with vigilant care before they cross your lips; a bullet wounds the flesh, but a cruel word can permanently fracture a soul. When you must speak, be unshakeably firm but impeccably polite, ensuring your response is diplomatically correct. Just as anger blinds us, greed misleads us; any decision driven by greed will definitely be wrong. To keep the heart pure, we must conquer the illusions of lust, keeping our desires disciplined and aligned with the ethical norms of a civilized society. Finally, we must learn to adjust to people whose values differ from ours. Because shifting deep-rooted societal behaviours is incredibly difficult and requires divine intervention, we must accept that what cannot be cured must be endured.

True strength lies in utmost humility of thought and deed. We must fiercely dismantle our ego and pride, recognizing them as traps that separate us from truth. Never be judgmental of others, for everyone is fighting their own hidden battles. Instead, turn your gaze inward; always introspect and examine your own flaws. A person of integrity must always practice what they preach, ensuring their actions mirror their spoken values. When you are in the wrong, cast aside pride—accept your mistake gracefully and apologize sincerely. Life will bring moments of failure, and when it does, one must accept defeat with dignity and grace. Above all, to live with a clear conscience, one must master the divine art of forgetting and forgiving, releasing past hurts to protect the peace of the present.

To sustain this journey with dignity, the physical and mental vessels must be fiercely protected as sacred responsibilities. We must live happily within our available resources, embracing a comfortable life while avoiding the hollow trap of extravagance. True health requires us to exercise regularly to keep the body vital, and to eat a correct, natural diet—completely avoiding junk food to maintain our ideal weight. Rest is equally sacred; sleep at a regular time every night to allow the mind to heal. In an age of endless distraction, disconnect from the noise and excess of social media, which only drains mental energy and fuels false anxieties. Instead, sit in quiet reflection to plan your life carefully. Set practical, achievable goals and labour toward them with daily discipline. Remember that youth is a fleeting morning and old age is certain; save resources regularly during your productive years to ensure your later life is secure and independent. Walk softly upon this earth, maintaining an unshakeable respect for nature, women, and animals.

In sum, a life well-lived is not measured by material wealth or worldly triumphs, but by the depth of our contentment, the purity of our conduct, and the humility of our spirit. By mastering our emotions, guarding our words, and facing both victory and defeat with equal grace, we align ourselves with the divine. Every choice we make carries an absolute weight, and the theory that one has to pay for his sins reminds us that the energy we give to the world always returns to us. Let us live truthfully, give back generously to the society that nurtured us, and look inward with constant awareness. By honouring our bodies, respecting all of creation, and surrendering our egos to the one universal power, we transform the turbulent, bumpy journey of life into a rewarding and beautiful masterpiece.
